UFC Sacramento: Anthony Hernandez vs. Gregory Rodrigues

Anthony Hernandez (15-3-0-1) was riding an eight-fight winning streak ahead of his main event bout against Sean Strickland on the UFC Houston card in February. Hernandez lost that contest via TKO in the the third round.

Hernandez joined the promotion in 2019, opening his UFC run with a 1-2 record. He has not lost since Kevin Holland stopped him via TKO in 2020. Hernandez had back-to-back “Performance of the Night” bonus-winning victories in 2024. In those contests he stopped Roman Kopylov via submission and earned a TKO win over Michel Pereira in a UFC Fight Night main event scrap in October 2024.

He went 2-0 after that with a February 2025 decision win over Brendan Allen and an August 2025 submission victory over Roman Dolidze. Hernandez picked up a “Performance of the Night” award for his fourth-round stoppage of Dolidze.

Hernandez is the No. 7 ranked middleweight.

Gregory Rodrigues (19-6) joined the UFC in 2021 after claiming the LFA middleweight title. He opened his UFC run with two wins, but fell to Arman Petrosyan by decision in February 2022. Two more victories followed, but Rodrigues was unable to land a third straight UFC win when Brunno Ferreira knocked him out in January 2023.

Rodrigues bounced back from that knockout loss with three straight wins, knocking out Denis Tiuliulin. Brad Tavares and most recently picking up a decision win over Christian Leroy Duncan in June 2024.

Rodrigues’s three-fight winning streak ended in February 2025 with TKO loss to Jared Cannonier in his first main event under the UFC banner.

Since then, Rodrigues has gone 3-0 with two knockouts and a decision victory. His most recent win was a March 2026 first-round knockout victory over Brunno Ferreira at UFC 326.

Rodrigues enters the UFC Sacramento card as the No. 9 ranked UFC middleweight.

We will have more on UFC Sacramento as fight night nears.
