The first episode of WWE Monday Night Raw in the post-John-Cena era had several memorable moments, but none stood out quite like CM Punk’s savage response to Bron Breakker. In case you missed it, Breakker upped the ante on Punk last week when he threatened to take his WWE World Heavyweight Championship–and his wife.
As you might imagine, Punk had a visceral response and he delivered it with an unflinching brilliance that reminded anyone who might have forgotten how good he is on the mic.

The Savage Breakdown of Punk’s Promo
Punk opened by calling Breakker a “cross-eyed Neanderthal nepo baby” and noted that “brains don’t exactly run in your family.” That was just the appetizer.
He reminded Breakker that WarGames isn’t board games—it’s war—and dismissed the idea that pinning him meant anything significant. The line about 2011 Punk vs. 2025 Punk landed hard: “You can’t handle 2025 CM Punk without a lot of help from your friends.”
Then it got personal. Punk warned that if Breakker ever mentions his wife again, “this goes from business to personal faster than you can run.” The follow-up was vicious: “I’m gonna rip your eyes out of your head and piss on your single digit IQ brain.”
He questioned Breakker’s heart, his belief, and his ability to carry the company. Then he went after the family tree, telling Breakker to “call up your dumb father and his dumber brother, Scott” and bring them to Brooklyn. The Steiner Math callback was chef’s kiss for longtime fans.
Punk closed by spelling out the inevitable: “GTS equals one, two, three.”
Maybe it was Cena’s retirement. Maybe Breakker really did get under Punk’s skin a little with the reference to his wife. In any case, Punk dusted off some vitriol we haven’t heard from him since Tony Khan sat beside him ever so uncomfortably at that infamous AEW All-Out press conference in 2022.
Whether it was a shoot, work or something in between is unclear and quite frankly, that’s when pro wrestling can be at its best.
Translation: this was really good.
The Usos def. The New Day
The Usos picked up the win over The New Day in what continues to be a tense stretch for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
Hopefully, this is building toward a bigger storyline involving the Usos.
Maxxine Dupri Retains
Maxxine Dupri successfully defended her Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Ivy Nile. The match was not strong. I love Dupri. She has a charm and undeniable presence. She’s the type of performer you root for in her career.
However, this match exposed the fact that she doesn’t yet have the chops to work anything fast paced.
Vaquer vs. Rodriguez Ends in Chaos
Stephanie Vaquer and Raquel Rodriguez were building toward a decisive finish when Nikki Bella interfered, causing a no contest. The Bella return adds another layer to the women’s division and sets up potential multi-person involvement heading into the new year.
Logan Paul Defeats Rey Mysterio – Mystery Man Revealed
Logan Paul got the win over Rey Mysterio, but the bigger story was the unveiling of the Mystery Man who has been lurking in this storyline. As expected, it was Austin Theory as he showed off the shaved head I’d mentioned.
The reveal gives this feud a new direction and raises the stakes for what comes next.I’m wondering if Paul Heyman really wasn’t in on this inclusion and instead, it was Logan Paul’s call to enlist the help of Theory.
Paul has been the common element in all of the sneak attacks. It would not shock me to see Paul get his own faction
