When Did Early Access Begin For Each Edition?
Early access began on July 2, but only for MVP+ members on console. Everyone else with early access, including Deluxe Edition and MVP Bundle buyers, got in starting July 6.
MVP+ is the seven-day head start, but it’s console-only on PS5 and Xbox, and limited to the U.S. and Canada. The Deluxe Edition and MVP Bundle open the three-day window on July 6, which is the earliest route for PC players. EA Play and EA Play Pro members also received a 10-hour trial on July 2.
What Happens When The Standard Edition Unlocks On July 9?
There’s already a healthy number of players online, but the floodgates will open once the game is fully in the wild.
MVP+ members keep their ongoing perks, like monthly Ultimate Team packs and mascots, but they lose the “early” label. Deluxe and MVP Bundle owners simply continue on the same save they’ve been building. Everyone who buys the Standard Edition joins the same live game with everything new this year.
Is Buying Early Access Worth It For EA College Football 27?
Early access is definitely worth it if you love video game football. The gameplay is at its best in the history of EA football and it is the perfect beginning to the virtual football season.
The cheapest early-access route is the $99.99 Deluxe Edition, or the $149.99 MVP Bundle that packs in Madden NFL 27. The seven-day July 2 head start requires an MVP+ Membership stacked on top of that, pushing the total near $200 to play a week early. The $69.99 Standard Edition skips early access entirely and still gets you the full game on July 9.
