WWE Night of Champions 2026 opened its main card on ESPN Unlimited with a Seth Rollins win over Bron Breakker inside a steel cage. WWE Night of Champions featured the King and Queen of the Ring Finals airing live on ESPN from Saudi Arabia. Oba Femi battled Jey Uso, surprisingly with no appearance from Brock Lesnar, though Brock was mentioned multiple times on commentary.

WWE women’s world champion Liv Morgan fell to Iyo Sky after being cursed by Danhausen. Queen Iyo challenged Liv Morgan to a WWE Women’s World Championship match for SummerSlam in Minnesota. The main event featured a shocking finish as Sami Zayn won the WWE Championship, pinning Cody Rhodes. With Sami’s big win, Gunther is suddenly in the midst of a losing streak after retiring the likes of Goldberg, John Cena and AJ Styles.

Seth Rollins Def. Bron Breakker

  • Seth Rollins wasted no time loading up the ring with kendo sticks before Bron Breakker even made his way out. Rollins pulled up a steel chair to sit and wait for Breakker’s entrance.
  • Bron Breakker grabbed weapons of his own, including a trash can and a handful of steel chairs. Bron Breakker dominated the match early and did not need as ingle weapon to do it. Seth took control by catching a leaping Breakker and laying him out with a powerbomb.
  • Seth Rollins trash-talked Bron and exploded with kendo stick shots. Rollins grated Breakker’s face against the steel cage as Bron collapsed. Fans chanted “we want tables!” and Seth Rollins obliged. Breakker followed Rollins atop the ropes, but Seth bit Bron, who slid down the ropes temporarily. Born charged back up the ropes and hit a Breakkensteiner onto a pile of steel chairs for a nearfall.
  • Breakker called Seth Rollins a “crazy old man” and threatened Seth with his life. “You’re gonna die!” Bron screamed as he tried to Pillmanize Seth with a steel chair. Bron missed, but followed up with a spear for a nearfall.
  • Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins both climbed to the top of the steel cage. As fans ooh’d and ah’d, Rollins hit a superplex through a table from the top of the cage as Breakker bled from the eye. Fans chanted “holy s—t!”
  • A bloodied Breakker came back with a torpedo-like spear for another nearfall. Breakker went for another spear in the corner, but Rollins moved and Bron went through a table. Seth Rollins hit a Pedigree and a Stomp for a surprising nearfall.
  • Seth Rollins hit a Super stomp from the top rope and beat Bron Breakker for good.

Match Grade: B+

Trick Williams Def. Ricky Saints

  • Michael Cole kept playing up the fact that Trick Williams has never beaten Ricky Saints, which essentially telegraphed a Trick Williams win. Both Trick and Ricky got strong reactions, but moreso Williams.
  • Ricky Starks attacked Trick before he even got his jacket off. Saints peppered Trick with punches in the corner, but Trick gave Ricky a little wiggle and answered with strikes of his own.
  • Ricky Saints tricked the referee into thinking Lil Yachty used the kendo stick on him, and after traveling all the way to Riyadh, Yachty was tossed out just minutes into the match. Fans cheered Yachty’s banishment, briefly singing the “goodbye” song.
  • Ricky Saints put the pressure on Trick Williams as the audience died down a bit. Trick and Ricky had to follow a weapons-filled steel cage match with a straight-up singles match, which is a tough task for anybody. Saints showed off with his rope-walk into a flying forearm.
  • Trick went into his comeback as fans started to get into the match, though they remained quiet. Williams rolled over into a Book End in homage to Booker T.
  • Trick and Ricky went back-and-forth with right hands. Trick won the exchange with a Capoeira Kick followed by a neckbreaker for a nearfall. Trick hit a Trick Knee on Saints for the win. After the match, Saints tried to attack Trick, but Lil Yachty returned and laid out Ricky Saints with a kendo stick. Yachty hit a People’s Elbow on Saints.

Match Grade: C+

Tiffany Stratton Def. Jade Cargill

  • Tiffany started hot out the gates with a basement dropkick followed by a pinning combination. Stratton ran into a right hand from Jade, who went for a KOD, but Stratton landed on her feet.
  • Stratton went for a suicide dive, but she was caught by Jade who struck Tiffany with a knee. Jade hit a sitout powerbomb on Stratton for a nearfall. Jade launched Stratton into the corner and did five pushups as fans booed.
  • Cargill hit Stratton with a Black Hole Slam for a nearfall. Tiffany hit a popup dropkick followed by another basement dropkick. Stratton countered a powerbomb with a hurricanrana into the corner. Tiffany went for the PME, but Jade countered with her knees.
  • Jade hit an awkward Sandstorm sitout powerbomb for a nearfall. Stratton took down Jade with a crucifix bomb for a nearfall. B-Fab and Michin interfered, and the distraction led to a chokeslam on Stratton for a nearfall.
  • Chelsea Green crawled from under the ring and evened the odds. Chelsea stared lovingly at the United States Title. Back inside the ring, Jade hit a pump kick, then dragged Chelsea into the ring. Jade stalked Chelsea, but Charlotte Flair interfered and hit Cargill wit the belt. Tiffany hit the PME for the win.

Sami Zayn Zayn Wins The WWE Championship In Saudi Arabia

  • Sami Zayn, a proud Muslim, walked out in a thwab for his first WWE Championship match on Saudi Arabian soil. Fans sang Cody’s song word-for-word, while they booed Gunther out of the building. Sami was the crowd favorite in this match as fans also booed Cody Rhodes.
  • Fans finally showed signs of life for the main event. Gunther took out Sami Zayn after a delay, but Sami stormed back into the match and hammered Gunther with punches. Cody got the better of an offensive sequence against Zayn, but fans booed. Gunther pulled Sami out of the ring and threw him into the steel stairs.
  • Gunther took control of the match to immense heat. Cody rallied with a double Cody Cutter followed by a suicide dive on Sami. Cole compared Sami to Victor Wembanyama, calling him “entitled and spoiled.” Sami’s flurry of offense ended when he was cut off by Gunther and once again dragged out of the ring.
  • Rhodes hit a Cross Rhodes on Gunther, but Zayn pulled the referee out of the ring at the count of two. Gunther went nuts with a powerbomb parade on Zayn and Rhodes until Sami countered with a rollup for a nearfall.
  • Gunther got hung up in the corner after missing a running boot, and Zayn hit at Helluva Kick. This time, Cody pulled the referee otu of the ring as fans booed.
  • Cody Rhodes cleared off the English announce table. Sami attacked Cody and cleared off the Arabic announce table. Sami teased a Kevin Owens-like Package Piledriver on the Arabic announce table, but Rhodes fought out of it and hit a backdrop through the English announce table. The move took out Michael Cole’s audio for the rest of the match.
  • Gunther pounced and needed two powerbombs to break the announce table. Gunther dragged Cody into the ring and trapped Cody Rhodes in a sleeper hold. Sami Zayn saved Cody’s arm from falling three times, drawing the ire of Gunther.
  • Corey Graves handed over his headset to Cole, who called the rest of the match by himself. Sami hit an exploder suplex in the corner, followed by a Helluva Kick on Gunther for a nearfall. Graves returned to commentary just in time for a double Cross Rhodes by Cody. Sami suddenly rolled up Cody Rhodes for the win.

Match Grade: A-
