WWE SummerSlam 2026 from US Bank Stadium featured the surprise return of Randy Orton, a Bellas heel turn, a fantastic opener between Liv Morgan and Iyo Sky and the continued rise of Solo Sikoa.
In an intense and emotional main event, Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in Brock’s hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota in their third match inside Hell in a Cell.

Liv Morgan Def. Iyo Sky
- Liv Morgan was successful in her first world title defense since winning the belt at WrestleMania 42 over 100 days ago. Morgan silenced the critics and played into her heel persona—one that wants to hold the title for 1,000 days—with a strong victory over Iyo Sky. Though the victory was not clean—due to brief interference from the Judgment Day—Liv Morgan was ultimately able to take advantage of an Iyo Sky (kayfabe) ankle injury. After four attempts, Liv Morgan scored with the Oblivion and the win.

Solo Sikoa, LA Knight And Royce Keys Def. The Bloodline
- Solo Sikoa and LA Knight were the two most popular stars in the entire building all night. Solo’s babyface momentum continues no matter what you’ve heard from bitter sexagenarians about his likability. Solo Sikoa mocked Jey Uso, not only with an impressive pop-and-lock punch, but by running back Jey Uso’s theme music and yeeting in the middle of the ring.
- Solo Sikoa assisted LA Knight with a Samoan Spike on Jimmy Uso, saving Knight from a 1D. Solo’s assist led to an LA Knight BFT on Jey Uso for the win. After the match, Solo and LA Knight hugged it out to a huge pop in a match where fans chanted “Solo” and “let’s go Solo!”

Gunther Def. Nick Aldis
Nick Aldis made his triumphant return to the ring, walking out to “Morning Glory” by Oasis and blowing everybody away with flying elbows, powerslams and an impressive flurry of offense in his first match in three years.
Nick Aldis’ wife Mickie James was ringside, where she was taunted by an arrogant Gunther. Aldis fired up for a spirited comeback where he almost got the better of Gunther with a King’s Lynn Cloverleaf. Gunther battled back and finally put the former SmackDown General Manager to sleep with a rear-naked choke for the win.

Fatal Influence Def. The Bella Twins And Paige As Bella Twins Turn Heel
- The Bella Twins and Paige donned matching gear in tribute to each of their gimmicks. Fatal Influence sprinted out to a lead by isolating their opponents and thrashing them on the outside. Even after following an emotional match with Nick Aldis, there was a lot of heat for Fatal Influence.
- The babyfaces made a comeback after Nikki tagged in with a dive to the outside by Brie Bella. Fatal influence cut off their offense, but Brie came storming back with a big right hand. The Bellas cooked up a Hart Attack attempt, but Lainey Reid rolled through and hit a running knee.
- Reid and Fallon Henley hit a double fisherman’s suplex for a nearfall. Brie reentered the ring with a kick to Reid. Brie dumped Jacy Jayne to the outside and mocked Nikki Bella’s dance. Both women took each other out with dual punches.
- Paige and Jacy Jayne tagged in and Jayne tagged Paige with a discus punch for the win. After the match, the Bella Twins turned on Paige. Nikki finished Paige off with a Rack Attack 2.0.
Match Grade: C
Randy Orton Returns, CM Punk Beats Cody Rhodes
- CM Punk and Cody Rhodes both had big-time entrances, with Cody Rhodes walking out to a Street Fighter-inspired entrance while Punk donned a throwback Minnesota North Stars bomber jacket.
- Punk and Rhodes went back-and-forth in a match where CM Punk targeted Cody Rhodes’ left arm while Rhodes more effectively went after CM Punk’s knee. Punk tried several wild moves, including a Terry Funk-style moonsault (that actually missed) and a flying elbow to the outside where Punk went knee-first through an announce table.
- Randy Orton returned for the first time since his loss to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42, sticking Rhodes with an RKO and allowing Punk to win with his fifth GTS.

Oba Femi Def. Brock Lesnar
- Oba Femi beat Brock Lesnar in an excellent main event that saw Oba Femi kick out of a Tombstone from Brock Lesnar on the wood. This will be a lasting image burned into the legacy of both WWE and Oba Femi’s lore. After the match, Brock Lesnar put Oba Femi over as the future of WWE. The one nitpick was that the violent main event made use of every weapon but the cage that it was named after.
