Fox News is moving Emily Compagno to a full-time seat on “The Five,” promoting the longtime network personality from “Outnumbered” to one of cable news’ most-watched programs.

Compagno will officially join “The Five” on Sept. 8 alongside Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino and Jesse Watters, with Harold Ford Jr. and Jessica Tarlov continuing to rotate in the show’s liberal seat, Fox announced Monday.

Compagno will relinquish her role on “Outnumbered,” where Fox said a rotating network personality will fill her seat until a permanent replacement is named.

Emily Compagno will join “The Five” as a full-time co-host beginning Sept. 8.

“Emily is a highly accomplished host whose energy and talent have made her a standout across Fox News Media, and we are thrilled to officially welcome her to the show,” said Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott.

Compagno said she was “honored” to join the program after appearing alongside its hosts over the years.

“Having an official seat at the table on what I truly believe is the most fun show on television is an incredible privilege,” she said.

“The Five” averaged 3.6 million viewers during the second quarter of 2026. From left to right: Vice President JD Vance, Jessica Tarlov, Jesse Watters, Dana Perino and Greg Gutfeld.

“I am grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get started.”

The move gives Compagno a permanent role on a show that averaged 3.6 million viewers and 322,000 viewers in the key 25-to-54 demographic during the second quarter of this year.

Fox said the program, which marked its 15th anniversary in July, has been the highest-rated show in cable news for 19 consecutive quarters.

Emily Compagno attends the 2025 Fox Nation Patriot Awards at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on Nov. 6, 2025 in Greenvale, NY.

Compagno joined Fox News as a contributor in 2018 before becoming a co-host of “Outnumbered” in 2021.

She is also the author of “Under His Wings,” published by Fox News Books, which debuted at No. 1 on both Amazon and the New York Times bestseller list in its first week.

Before joining the network, Compagno practiced criminal defense and civil litigation and later worked at the Social Security Administration as a federal managing attorney and acting director.

She also served as a senior judge judicial extern for the late Judge John T. Noonan on the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and held legal positions in South Africa and Brazil.

Compagno previously was captain of the Oakland Raiders’ cheerleading squad and was selected as an NFL ambassador.

Compagno was previously captain of the Oakland Raiders’ cheerleading squad and was selected as an NFL ambassador, representing the league internationally and visiting US troops in Iraq and Kuwait on a USO tour.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington and a law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law.

Fox News is run by Fox Corp — sister company to The Post’s owner News Corp.
