World Trade Center developer Larry Silverstein, a man never known for his athletic prowess, just won the Heisman Trophy.
The nonprofit Heisman Trophy Trust, which manages the famed annual award given to the nationâs best college football player, is moving to Silversteinâs landmarked 120 Broadway — along with the trophy itself.
The Trust will leave behind its offices at nearby 111 Broadway.
The headquarters relocation next year will give the Trust 5,000 square feet of offices on the 13th floor. The 10-year lease also calls for the trophy, an exact replica of the original, to be on view in the public lobby and in the buildingâs 10th-floor tenantsâ amenities center called the Landmark, part of which will be rebranded as the Heisman Lounge.
Silverstein senior vice president Joe Artusa said, â120 Broadway is a celebrated landmark, which makes it the perfect home for the legendary Heisman Trophy.â
He said Heisman Trust employees âwill benefit from 120 Broadwayâs prime location, expansive amenities and high-end service.â
Heisman Trust CEO Jeff Price added, âThe modern space and world-class amenities will create an outstanding environment for our team while also giving college football fans the chance to experience the legendary Heisman Trophy up close.â
The 1915-vintage, Beaux-Arts tower recently saw a major capital improvements program to restore its original grandeur while updating it with contemporary technology.
Large tenants include Banco Popular, Tower Research Capital, Macmillan and Golden Goose.
Cushman & Wakefieldâs Michael Norris represented Heisman. The landlord was repped by Artusa in-house and by Newmarkâs Michael Norris.
This yearâs 2026 Heisman Trophy winner will be announced in a ceremony on ABC on Dec. 12.
