Popular Japanese retail and lifestyle brand MUJI will open its second Brooklyn location at 100 Flatbush Ave., part of Alloy Development’s five-building block bounded by Flatbush Avenue, Third Avenue and State Street.

The 10,000 square-foot store is the latest big name in the booming Downtown Brooklyn corridor astride and adjacent to Flatbush Avenue.

Two women wearing face masks and carrying shopping bags walk past a MUJI store with a "SALE up to 70% OFF" sign in its window.
MUJI is opening a second store in Brooklyn.

Alloy landed two other retailers as well — cafe-bakery Winner, led by Michelin-star chef Daniel Eddy, with 2,726 square feet, and CardVault by Tom Brady in a 973 square-foot space.

MUJI’s first Brooklyn store is in Williamsburg. Muji USA president Richard Rappaport said, “Every new store is an investment in the communities we serve. Downtown Brooklyn’s continued growth, diversity and energy make it an ideal place for us to expand our presence.”

The “Alloy Block” includes a residential/retail tower at 505 State St. as well as another one under construction at One Third Aveue. The block will eventually have five buildings with over 1,000 apartments, 60,000 square feet of offices, 30,000 square feet of retail and two public schools
