Some tennis fans think Naomi Osaka’s fashion exploits have no place at the French Open. Au contraire, Roland Garros is the perfect place to model a showstopper. Paris is the birthplace of haute couture, and Osaka’s Nike outfits are one-of-a-kind.

Unlike Aryna Sabalenka’s much-talked-about Nike dress, Osaka’s kit can’t be purchased off the rack.

“I like to keep people on their toes and I think it’s really fun,” Osaka said in her post-match interview on court after a second-round victory against Donna Vekic. “There’s a community I feel like that’s been built over my on-court outfits. So I just like to just keep you guys guessing.”

Osaka keeps people guessing and talking. Her gold-sequined dress and bedazzled jackets are all the rage and the reason she’s among the best-dressed players at this year’s French Open.

Aryna Sabalenka: Nike

Finally, Nike designed a dress worthy of Sabalenka’s No. 1 ranking. The NikeCourt dress features a black, lightweight semi-sheer dress layered over a crimson tank and is currently sold out. The back of the dress has a sporty racerback with keyhole accent, giving the look flirty nightlife vibes.

Coco Gauff: New Balance

Like Sabalenka’s dress, Coco Gauff’s ensemble features a semi-sheer overlay. The contrast between the dark gray dress and white body suit is perfect for Gauff’s Paris evening wear. During the day, Gauff wore a two-piece light lavender kit with similar styling.

Matteo Berrettini: Boss

Everything about Matteo Berrettini’s look is color coordinated, including his black fitness sleeve. The blue Active Slim-fit polo shirt with signature-stripe details contrasts with the black tailored shorts, wristbands, and cap with the Boss logo. Berrettini will wear this winning look into the fourth-round.

Karen Khachanov: Wilson

When it comes to men’s tennis kits, the T-shirt, the sleeve-less top or the polo are the standard attire. Kudos to Karen Khachanov for wearing a loose Game Point Seamless Henley shirt from Wilson. Paired with a classic Wilson Court Short, the look is casual cool.

Casper Ruud: Yonex

Yonex is better known for its rackets than clothing. However, the brand has upped its fashion game in the past five years, injecting modern flair into classic tennis attire.
Casper Ruud’s French Open kit is an excellent example of Yonex’s updated style. Ruud’s bright orange accents on his shoes complement the tangerine-colored shorts. His Paris Crew shirt is made of ventilated mesh and is silver-gray with subtle orange stripes.

Emma Raducanu: Uniqlo

Emma Raducanu lost in the first-round, but at least fans got to see her in a Uniqlo red dress with black trim. Sleek and stylish, this dress could easily transition from the court to the club.

Frances Tiafoe: LuluLemon

Frances Tiafoe is known for sweating through kits, which is why he’s wearing an all-blue ensemble with Lululemon’s ShowZero technology. This new technology allows fabrics to conceal higher volumes of sweat, essential as record heat grips the French Open.

Naomi Osaka: Nike

When it comes to fashion at the French Open, Osaka uses the walkout as her runway. She wore a full-length black skirt that swept over the clay as she took the court. When she removed her black sequined vest to reveal the top of a glittery gold dress that sparkled in the Paris sun.

Osaka worked with Swiss designer Kevin Germanier to create the black skirt topped by a corset featured lines in the shape of the Eiffel Tower.

During a post-match press conference, Osaka said she brought a back-up dress on court in case the chair umpire ruled her outfit a hindrance due to the dress’s reflective qualities. She’s through to the fourth round and none of her opponents have made the dress an issue.

Before her second and third-round matches, Osaka wore a matching sequined jacket with puffy sleeves and a train.

Heavily involved in the design of her Nike outfits, Osaka loves to fuse fashion with tennis. She was among the best-dressed at the 2026 Australian Open when she stunned the crowd in Melbourne in a white hat, full-length veil and umbrella.

Osaka finds fashion fun, and her fans remain fascinated with her designs. She teased that she might have more new looks in store as she advances in the tournament. Why not? She’s in Paris, where fashion is always served.
