Walmart shoppers nationwide are being warned to toss certain containers of Parmesan Ranch seasoning after the product was recalled over fears it could be contaminated with salmonella — a bacteria that can trigger serious and sometimes fatal infections.

Blackstone Products, which is based in Providence, Utah, announced the voluntary recall on May 15 after learning that a dry milk powder ingredient used in the seasoning had been recalled by California Dairies, Inc. over possible salmonella contamination.

The affected ingredient was supplied to a third-party manufacturer and later used in Blackstone’s Parmesan Ranch seasoning, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning sold at Walmart has been recalled over possible Salmonella contamination.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall applies to Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning sold in 7.3-ounce containers bearing product number #4106.

The affected lot numbers are 2025-43282, with a “Best If Used By” date of July 2, 2027; 2025-46172, with a best-by date of Aug. 5, 2027; and 2026-54751, with a best-by date of Aug. 12, 2027.

The products were sold nationwide exclusively through Walmart stores and on Blackstone’s website.

The recalled seasoning was sold in 7.3-ounce containers bearing product number #4106.

Customers who purchased the recalled seasoning are being urged not to consume the product and dispose of it immediately.

Salmonella can cause serious illness, particularly in young children, elderly individuals and people with weakened immune systems.

Healthy adults infected with the bacteria often suffer fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

Walmart shoppers nationwide are being warned not to consume affected containers of Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning.

In rare cases, the infection can enter the bloodstream and lead to more severe complications, including arterial infections, endocarditis and arthritis, according to the FDA.

Blackstone said consumers can contact the company at 1-888-879-4610 for replacement products or additional information.

The Post has sought comment from Blackstone Products.
