The Yellowstone universe is expanding once again. The latest spinoff starring two fan-favorite characters, titled Dutton Ranch, premieres on Paramount+ and Paramount Network on Friday, May 15.
Dutton Ranch centers on Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), the fierce daughter of the late John Dutton, and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), John’s ranch foreman and longtime right hand. The couple has left Yellowstone behind to begin a new chapter together in South Texas, following the events of Season 5, Part 2.
As a refresher, the epic Yellowstone finale saw the Dutton family finally uncover how patriarch John Dutton was killed by an assassin hired by Jamie’s (Wes Bentley) girlfriend. Beth and Rip ultimately took Jamie to the “train station,” meaning they killed him as well, while Kayce Dutton sold the Yellowstone Ranch back to the Broken Rock Reservation.
Dutton Ranch is set about a year later and follows Beth and Rip as they “start their own ranch with the goal of helping Carter (Finn Little) grow into the man he’s meant to be. But their new reality is a brutal one, as they collide with harsh conditions, deep roots, and a rival ranch owner (Annette Bening) who refuses to back down,” Paramount+ teased.
In a recent interview with People, Reilly explained that the couple has relocated to a new state with a completely different landscape, ultimately bringing a new set of challenges for the family. In Montana, “they were the top dogs,” Reilly said. “Now they’re the strangers.”
Hauser added that “it’s like going to the moon for these characters,” noting that Rip will face a language barrier as his workers all speak Spanish. “They don’t know the land or the people or the environment.”
Dutton Ranch is the franchise’s closest continuation of the original show so far. Other recent spinoffs include Marshals, which follows Kayce as he begins a new chapter with an elite U.S. Marshals unit after the loss of an important person in his life. Michelle Pfeiffer’s The Madison is also set in Montana, but the show is unrelated to the franchise.

Dutton Ranch premieres with its first two episodes on Friday, May 15, 2026. The episodes will drop at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET on Paramount+ before airing later that night at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Paramount Network.
How To Watch Dutton Ranch On Streaming
One way to watch Dutton Ranch is by signing up for a Paramount+ subscription. The Paramount+ Essential plan costs $8.99 per month with limited ads, while the Paramount+ Premium plan costs $13.99 per month without ads. Paramount+ is not offering a free trial at this time.
How To Watch Dutton Ranch On Cable
Dutton Ranch will also air on Paramount Network. For those without cable, the Paramount Network is available to stream on live TV streaming services like Hulu+ Live TV, DirecTV Stream, Fubo and YouTube TV, all of which currently offer varying free trials and promotional deals.
